A personal note from Owen Sound DJ Mike Merrifield

It all starts with a chat. Tell me how you envision your event, share your favourite songs and musical styles, and tell me what you don't like. Don't worry if you haven't given a lot of thought yet to the flow of entertainment- that's my job. Since first stepping in front of a crowd as an Owen Sound DJ back in 1998, I've entertained thousands of guests at hundreds of wedding receptions, parties, and fundraising events, so I can share ideas and suggestions to make your unique celebration come alive! You can count on a dynamic flow of music that caters to your guests throughout the evening.

Some Disc Jockeys pre-package playlists before an event. I get very frustrated with that approach. I definitely want to learn what type of music you love, and I'll have those songs on my headphones in the days before your event (I love all genres)! I'll arrive with a good feel for what tunes, of the thousands in my library, I can draw on. Once things get going and I see what people are clapping their hands to or tapping their toes to or bobbing their heads to, I can begin to really cater to your guests with the music that will get them moving.

There's an energy you can feel when a crowd's having a good time, and I strive to create that atmosphere at every event. My goal is simple: I want you to enjoy your event and your guests to leave feeling they had a truly special, exhilarating time.
